My neighbor hangs a flag on his apple tree and it has yielded up these photos. There is a bit of symbolism here. I think it is important to see through and beyond Nationalism, which is as much a curse as it is a comfort, to the world of Nature from which we all come and to which we all depart. There are no national boundaries in nature, we are all her children. So think twice before putting one flag above another. |
